How to send an SMS inside Hangouts Chat

Pre-requisites:

1. For US/Canada, all our local numbers are SMS enabled.
2. US/Canada toll-free numbers are not yet SMS enabled.
3. For other countries, you will have to choose a local mobile number where available. For availability, please check the list when you pick your number or drop us a mail on support@ottspott.co .

Send a new SMS:

1. On any room inside Hangouts Chat where the bot is invited you can send a new SMS with the bot command ".sms ".
2. Enter the phone number with the + and the right country prefix.
3. Enter the text you want to send.

Example:

In room :
(SMS to American number)
" @Ottspott .sms +1XXXXXXXXXX Hello from Ottspott "

(SMS to French number)
" @Ottspott .sms +33XXXXXXXXX Hello from Ottspott "

In direct message:
(SMS to American number)
" .sms +1XXXXXXXXXX Hello from Ottspott "

(SMS to French number)
" .sms +33XXXXXXXXX Hello from Ottspott "
